El camino por el barrio antiguo de Segovia nos lleva, pasada la casa de los Picos a la bella plaza donde se encuentra la Iglesia de San Martín.
El espléndido templo, un compendio del románico castellano, está
definido por un triple atrio de columnas y tres ábsides, una torre
mudéjar que ocupa el espacio del cimborrio. Especial interés poseen los
capiteles labrados, la placa de mármol con la efigie de San Martín
situada en el exterior del ábside y las cuatro estatuas columna de la
fachada. En su interior se pueden contemplar un tríptico del pintor
flamenco Adrián Isembrandt, varias pinturas del primitivo castellano
conocido como Maestro de las 11.000 vírgenes, un Cristo yacente
atribuido a Gregorio Fernández y un San Francisco de Pedro de Mena.
