Un museo muy agradable de ver por su contenido y continente es el Museo de Bellas Artes de Asturias.
Se
encuentra en la plaza de la Catedral-una de sus entradas- y esta
formado por un conjunto de edificios antiguos, Palacio de Velarde uno de
ellos y nuevos. Ha sido objeto de una excelente actualizacion
arquitectónica
El Museo de Bellas Artes de Asturias está instalado en un conjunto de
cuatro edificios que ocupan parte de una manzana al lado de la Catedral,
en pleno centro histórico de Oviedo: el Palacio de Velarde (siglo
XVIII), que alberga las colecciones más antiguas (siglos XIV-XIX), la
Casa de Oviedo-Portal (siglo XVII), dedicada íntegramente al arte del
siglo XIX, el edificio de la Ampliación (siglo XXI), donde se exponen
las colecciones más contemporáneas (siglos XX-XXI) y un último edificio,
de mediados del siglo XX, que se destina a oficinas y otros servicios
internos del Museo.
Pues
bien es un conjunto arquitectónico que contiene una excelente colección
de arte asturiano y nacional destacando las obras procedentes de la
colección Masaveu y el Apostolado del Greco.
Pero,
además, en la ampliación acaba de incluir una sala, por primera vez, a
la fotografía antigua donde podemos ver las fotos que Clifford hizo de
